A note on images. Unless noted otherwise, no
scientific method was employed for any of these shots. They are shared "for
what it's worth" so that others can make their own judgements and decisions. In
most cases, the original image was saved in the camera as 2240 X 1680, HQ (8:1)
JPEG file. In many cases the original files are included just as they came out
of the camera. Opinions expressed are strictly my own and shared in friendship
as one digital photo enthusiast to another. |

I recently had the chance to test the TCON 300 and E-10
under demanding conditions. Hand held, available light only and 1/100th of a
second. In this situation, luck counted as much as skill. |
 |
The MCON 35 macro lens adapter will allow you
to work close to small objects. This is a set of 8 images shot in the
studio. |

Bo knows IR! Well, Bo
Lorentzen that is. |
February 7, 2001
California
based professional photographer and graphic artist,
Bo Lorentzen has been
experimenting with a Hoya R72 filter on his E-10 to produce near Infrared
images. He has posted a few samples and promises more to come. If you've ever
wanted to try it, check Bo's E-10 IR page for the
details and a few tips. |

Tripod and hand held sample images.
Comparisons of the same scene with and without the TCON 300. |

With snow on the ground, slightly overcast skies
and the temperature about 20 degrees F, I ventured into the night. In this
series you'll find images with exposures from 1/10 to 8 seconds. |

A group of people shots from several
settings. Most used a mix of available light and flash. Some put the E-10 in
difficult back light situations. All images in this set have been cropped,
resized and adjusted slightly. |

|
Four original and four adjusted perspectives. The
huge bit map produced by the E-10 will give you plenty of latitude. |

A stroll through the frozen Lake Side Rose
Garden. On this sunny mid 20 F degree day, a few roses retained their beauty to
the very last. |

|
|
Taken outside, daylight and night, hand held and
tripod, ISO 80, Program Mode, some with circular polarizer, one with fill
flash. |
| |
|
|
All of these images were taken inside a local
grocery store with (highly mixed) available light; the camera was auto
everything. |
